Eid Textile Tales
Two of our members took part in the Eid Textile Tales project and created a beautiful patchwork quilt with artist Teresa Hare Duke. This tapestry explored themes of home, faith, religious practice, community, and of the experience of being a Muslim migrant during COVID.
A film was produced and launched with Queen Mary University and the Stay Home Stories Project and Praxis for Migrants and Refugees. Brighter Futures members introduced the event and spoke about their work on the tapestry which was said to “symbolise Ramadan and Eid and what it means to us”.
